Education & Student Support Professionals

Supporting Students Beyond the Classroom

Every student learns differently.

As educators and student support professionals, you see these challenges every day.

Some Learn Easily

Some work twice as hard for the same result

Some appear capable but struggle to stay organized

Some seem anxious, overwhelmed, distracted, or emotionally exhauste

You also know that learning is about far more than academics.

  • Attention.
  • Emotional regulation.
  • Executive functioning.
  • Sleep.
  • Stress.
  • Confidence.
  • Relationships.

And we do not advise patients to stop prescribed medications or discontinue established treatment. Our role is to become another thoughtful, collaborative member of the care team.

A Shared Mission

Whether you are a classroom teacher, school counselor, intervention specialist, reading coach, administrator, homeschool leader, tutor, or educational consultant, your mission is remarkably similar to ours.

You want students to:

  • Feel confident.
  • Develop independence.
  • Build resilience.
  • Participate more fully.
  • Reach their individual potential.

So do we.

Through Brain Mapping, neurofeedback, and our Brain + Gut approach, we provide educational information and supportive services that may complement the important work already taking place in schools, homes, and learning environments.

Understanding the Whole Student

When a child struggles in school, the challenge is rarely just about academics.

Learning can be influenced by:

  • Attention and focus.
  • Executive functioning.
  • Emotional regulation.
  • Anxiety.
  • Sleep quality.
  • Stress.
  • Sensory processing.
  • Developmental differences.
  • Overall brain wellness.

Understanding these factors does not replace educational evaluations or classroom observation.

How Grey Matters Supports Students?

happy family

Every child is different.

Our process begins with listening.

If appropriate, families may choose Brain Mapping to better understand patterns of brain activity that may help guide individualized neurofeedback planning.

Brain Mapping is educational.
It is not a diagnostic test.
It does not diagnose ADHD, autism, learning disabilities, anxiety, or other medical or educational conditions.

Instead, it provides another piece of information that families may consider alongside educational evaluations, medical care, therapy, and classroom observations.

Our Collaborative Philosophy

Grey Matters believes collaboration benefits students.
We encourage families to continue working closely with:

  • Schools

  • Teachers
  • School counselors
  • Educational specialists
  • Therapists
  • Physicians
  • Psychologists
  • Other trusted providers

When appropriate and with written parent authorization, we are happy to collaborate with members of a student’s support team.
